This report is a necessary declaration and documentation of the project called RIDE aka. Rotaract Inter-District Exchange, undertaken by the International Service Avenue during the timeline of 29th October 2021 to the 1st of November 2021. This project was hosted by the International Service Team of Dist. 3190 in collaboration with 12 clubs widespread across the Dist. and also with the assistance of the Club Service Team Dist. 3190.

This report is written to give a detailed insight and experience of RIDE Oct-Nov 21 that helps rotaractors understand the initiation and ideology behind the project.

About Accommodators -

The Rotaract Club of Bangalore Seshadripuram, Rotaract Club of Bangalore United, Rotaract Club of Bangalore Junction and Rotaract Club of Koramangala hosted the Rotaract clubs of Dist. 3060 (Gujarat)and Dist. 3201(Coimbatore) who visited  and stayed at Bangalore from 29th September 2021 to 1st November  2021. The accommodators  took up the responsibility of accommodating the Rotaractors of Gujarat and Coimbatore for all the four days.  The Rotaractors were taken on a tour to various famous tourist  hotspots in and around Bangalore by various Rotaract clubs of Dist.  3190 on different days where the accommodators also accompanied them joyfully. It was an experience of a kind for them as they warmly gave the visiting rotaractors a cultural space and warm hospitality in their homes. They exchanged thoughts and laughter between each other and made this an experience of a kind for both the parties.

Day-wise Experience

Team 3060 was picked from the airport at 17:00pm by Rtr.Apoorva following which they were greeted by her homely family at Malleshwaram. The 2 girls were accompanied and hosted for a restful night with Rtr.Apoorva while the 2 boys were hosted by Rotaract Club of Bangalore Junction at a clean and safe Oyo in Malleshwaram.

Early in the morning, Team 3201 was greeted in the railway station by Rtr. Sachin, Rtr. Kiran from Rotaract club of Bangalore United and Rtr. Apoorva from Rotaract club of Sheshadripuram.

The Rotaract Club of Mount Carmel College kicked off the day by hosting them for breakfast at Konark Kanteerava, this was followed by a visit to Cubbon park where they had a small fun ice breaker game. The ice breaker was organised keeping in mind the importance of getting to know each other and to build a positive relationship among the visiting Clubs. They had a delightful walk around the beautiful Cubbon park to visit the Vidhana Soudha and the High Court where they clicked pictures and bid adieu to the Rotaractors, who were then handed over to Rotaract Club of Koramangala for the second half of the day. Rotaractors from BMS college of Women were present too.

The Rotaract Club of Koramangala jumped in to host the Rotaractors later that evening for a scrumptious South Indian Meal at Sagar Delicacy a restaurant in Ulsoor.They bonded and shared project ideas and collaborations.

The next day, The Rotaract Club of Koramangala headed in planning the drive to Nandi Hills and Avalabetta .The organized a Short Trek at Akkayamma Betta Hill, which had a beautiful view point. Rotaractors from many other clubs from District 3190 joined.Fun activities and games were conducted.The segment ended with Breakfast and  fellowship at Hebbal on the way back to Bangalore.

The Rotaract Club of JP Nagar stepped in to host the visiting Rotaractors for a rich south Indian Brunch at Paakashala Restaurant, JP Nagar. This was followed up with a visit to the Art of Living International Center where everyone had the opportunity to spend time amidst nature. They also had a 15 min guided meditation and a talk about seeking happiness in life. About 9 letter head exchanges were facilitated between the attendees of the event. This was followed with snacks at an eatery in JP nagar.

The Rotaract Club of Bangalore Midtown jumped in to host the visiting rotaractors for the Mega-Letterhead exchange.Held at Vega City Mall, Bannerghatta Road. There were Snacks & Refreshments at the Food court that was served. This was a major opportunity for all visiting rotaractors to connect with different clubs who participated in the Mega Letterhead Exchange.

The Letterhead Exchanges done between all the clubs from RID 3190 and 3060 & 320. Following which they headed for the Halloween Party organised by Rotaract Bangalore Junction.

Rotaract Club of Bangalore Junction hosted all the 9 rotaractors who came for RIDE from district 3060 and 3201 at their club’s halloween party! There was an Ice Breaker introduction of ourselves and everyone had some great time playing games and getting to know each other and sharing experience as well as the essence of Halloween all in the Bangalore style.

Rotaract Club of BMS Yelahanka Gathered around 9 am for breakfast at CTR Malleswaram. Post Breakfast, they visited Kadu Malleshwara Swamy Temple using public transport. After the temple visit, they stopped by EAT RAJA – India’s first zero-waste juice bar to have fruit drinks. There was a Letterhead Exchange with all the 9 clubs in Malleshwaram after which they accompanied the Rotaractors from Coimbatore to Commercial Street and Rotaractors from Gujrat were accompanied by Rtr. Esha the ISD of Dist. 3190 for lunch.

After hosting Team 3060 for lunch at Rtr.Esha’s place they were given space to refresh to travel back home. They were accompanied by Rtr.Esha – ISD Communication and Rtr.Ashish – ISD Execution to see them off at the airport at 7pm.

Team 3201 was seen off by Rtr.Apoorva, Rtr.Sachin and Rtr.Kiran at the Railway station at 8pm the same night.

It was a RIDE that we all would remember and cherish for a time.
